Your FUTURE is worth the fight

Koren’s Story

She almost didn’t make it here.

At 18, injuries from a near-fatal accident left Koren Wetmore paralyzed and broken from the waist down. It took multiple surgeries, two years, and a miracle of God before she was whole again.

Whole and walking.

Although hard, the journey taught her the power of perseverance, hope, and faith—messages that permeate her stories. It also anchored her in this truth: Your future is worth the fight.

Today she’s a veteran journalist and author whose heart thrills at the sound of birdsong in the morning and crickets on a summer’s night. Weaned on the works of Leiber, Heinlein, and Bradbury, she’s an avid sci-fi fan who also enjoys good, action-packed western and suspense tales. (If she lived in Joss Whedon’s Firefly universe, she’d definitely be a Browncoat!)

She lives and runs with her Trekker husband in the San Bernardino Mountains of California.

The Irish tell the story of a man who arrives at the gates of heaven and asks to be let in. St. Peter says, “Of course, just show us your scars.” The man says, “I have no scars.” St. Peter says, “What a pity. Was there nothing worth fighting for?”
